Parking & Passenger Boarding Information
1. If you fear you may suffer from motion discomfort, your physician can prescribe TRANSDERM SCOP. Other remedies are available without prescription. We can advise you.
2. Dogs and cats are not allowed on Isle Royale.
3. Boats, tanks, and gear are transported ONLY for our passengers.
4. We do not transport gasoline, which is available on the island throughout the summer. We DO transport backpacking stove fuel in wellclosed, small containers (one-gallon size maximum). These containers are stowed separately.
DO NOT STOW FUEL in containers with twist-on caps in backpacks.
6. We rarely delay trips due to weather and almost never cancel trips.
All trips are subject to safe sailing conditions.
7. WATER TAXI SERVICE is provided by the Rock Harbor Lodge.
In summer, call 906-337-4993. See the Lodge web site for winter contact information. Also, the Voyageur II from Grand Portage, MN, circumnavigates the island 3 times a week in summer and can be scheduled as water taxi service. Call this ferry operation at 715-392-2100.
However, please be aware that the Voyageur II and Queen IV schedules do not EASILY coordinate.
8. Canoes and kayaks must have advance reservations and be ready for loading by 7:15 a.m. Canoes and kayaks require no registration.
9. Boaters are advised that the new Queen IV is not equipped to carry motor boats of any size. Contact the Ranger III for hauling boats to Isle Royale.

PARKING: Our parking lot is unsecured, but very safe.
Charges: Cars, SUVs, Vans, Pick-Ups:$5 per night ($20 max) RVs and Motor Homes over 26í long $10 per night ($40 max.) Cars, etc. with trailers $7 per night ($28 max.) We show people where to park cars each morning beginning at 7:00 am. We ask that you drive onto our dock to unload gear before parking. Please do not park in our lot before we show you where to park. Call for complete information on parking fees and procedures.
We do not allow camping or overnight parking (when you are not on the island) in our lot.
